WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Osteopathy is a patient-centred healthcare practice that aims to improve function, reduce pain and improve overall well-being by influencing the various areas of the body via manual techniques, exercise prescription and lifestyle modifications. Osteopaths complete a Master's in Osteopathic Medicine, resulting in a depth of knowledge of anatomy, physiology and clinical reasoning. Osteopaths conduct thorough clinical assessments to diagnose conditions, enabling them to treat the condition's cause. Osteopaths understand that the body is the sum of many parts, all contributing to the whole person and that areas of the body contribute to the other.
